Mrs Dare, from Lewisham in South London, also revealed that her daughter had been an equally devout Christian as a child but turned to Islam while at college. She loved church,’ said Mrs Dare in an interview due to be screened tonight as part of a BBC documentary. ‘She had a Bible, she read the Bible. She would sit there and pray and pray and pray.’ Dare, who was born in Nigeria but emigrated to the UK as a child, was originally christened Grace but, says her mother, the 22-year-old changed it after she began attending services at the Lewisham Islamic Centre ...

Igbo leaders a disgrace - Etcetera writes

Image
I don't know why this guy thinks it's okay to say Igbo leaders are a disgrace...shuo! But I think he's Igbo (his name is Pascal Ejikeme) so let's read what he's got to say and tell us what you think.   I was told that every Igboman who heard Ojukwu’s speech after the Biafran war was filled with a renewed sense of pride and hope. A hope that one day the Igbo nation will rise and become a force of reckoning not just in Nigeria but in the entire black world. I have read that speech over and over and each time I read through, I am filled with pride and imagination of how those who heard the words pouring out of the mouth of the warlord himself must have felt. Before going any further, let me recount a little part of what the late sage said while addressing the press: “In the three years of the war, necessity gave birth to invention. During those three years of heroic bound, we leapt across the great chasm that separates knowledge from know-how. We built rockets, an...

Photo: David Cameron goes to Pastor Adeboye for prayers as he prepares for UK elections

Image
The UK general election will be held May 7th. Current UK Prime Minister David Cameron of the Conservative Party is up against Ed Miliband of Labour Party & Nick Clegg of the Liberal Democrat. Cameron must be feeling the pressure of the election because he went to RCCG event in the UK last night to be prayed for by pastor E.A Adeboye. When did Cameron become so religious? And when has he ever gone to a black church? Or he's just looking for black votes? Lol.

Narrating how he took part in a robbery operation that nearly cost him his life, Okonkwo explained that he would have stuck to picking pocket which was safer. “I made up to N10,000 sometimes, when I was a pick-pocket at the Seme Border at Badagry,” he said remorsefully. “But I needed a lump sum of money to set up my electronics repair workshop. So, I decided to take part in this robbery operation. On March 24, 2015, an old acquaintance of Okonkwo’s, a young man he identified simply as Uche, told him to come to Sagamu.  “I knew Uche about four years ago, when we were working at the Seme Border.
