A female adhoc staff of INEC died in a fatal bike accident this morning March 28th along Obussa-Ebonyi road, in Oju local government area of Benue state, Vanguard reports. The Okada man also lost his life. The INEC staff was on her way to Oju town where she was posted for election duties.. "They were riding on top speed at about 7:45 when the front part of the motorbike suddenly pulled of leading to the fatal accident and the instant death of the INEC staff. Though the bike rider survived after sustaining serious injuries he later died before receiving medical attention.” A witness said The Public Relations Officer, PRO, of INEC in Benue state, Mr. Louis Ochai confirmed the incident.

Two people have been killed at two polling units in Birin Bolawa and Birin Fulani in the Nafada district of Gombe state this morning by Boko Haram members. According residents of the villages who spoke with AFP, they said suspected members of Boko Haram stormed the polling units, attacked the electorates and killed two people. An election official who spoke with AFP under anonymity, said: “We could hear the gunmen shouting, ‘Didn’t we warn you about staying away from (the) election?'”. When asked by pressmen who he voted for after he cast his vote at his polling unit in Otuoke, Bayelsa state today, President Jonathan smiled and answered "I voted for myself and for the PDP".

  Someone sent this to Us:- I just heard a loud gun shot in a primary school (ASORO GRAMMA SCHOOL) nearby which was also use as an accreditation centre for the ongoing INEC PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION, on getting there two police men and one civilian had been shot by unknown gunmen, polling unit activity have already being suspended.. Waje's daughter, Emerald, turned 16 today March 28th and the proud mum took to instagram to celebrate her and share a touching story about how she gave birth to her . Read below.. I had gone to the hospital earlier but the doctor said my due date was April 4th so my mum took me home and left for lagos that day. At 11pm, lying in d living room which was my only comfortable spot in the house, labour started, grandma said (don't worry, false alarm) then it became frequent, I couldn't scream but I felt like killing someone and my bro @officialbk6 was a great candidate for that murder but they were all trying to make me feel better. Unidentified gunmen attacked Lagos State Commissioner for Transport, Kayode Opeifa's home at the Agege area of Lagos in the early hours of today March 28th. One person was injured. The gunmen, believed to be political thugs, attacked other places in Agege this morning, including Agege Local Government building where council staff were holding a meeting ahead of today's election. Then they proceeded to the INEC office in Agege before they drove to Opeifa's home and shot at his building and the vehicles around his home. Thankfully, they didn't target human beings, just property, though one person was injured in the attack. Right pic is a car that was shot at outside Opeifa's home. A few CP readers in different parts of the country are sending in reports. One said as at 10.13am this morning, not a single card reader is working in all the voting centers in Jalingo, Taraba state capital. Another said "there's a 100% failure rate at polling unit 032,  Ifelodun Local Govt. The card reader is not working.
