 There are reports that Kim and Kanye West will be renewing their marriage vows on May 24th to mark their first anniversary...and this time, they will be doing it at the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris. Their wedding was in Florence, Italy. This is all according to a report by Us Weekly Us Weekly claims that Kanye has booked out 58 Tour Eiffel restaurant for the private event, which they will host after they appear at Cannes Film Festival. Paris has always been a special place for Kim and Kanye, as Kim said: "We fell in love in Paris, and then I got pregnant with our daughter in Florence."

Boko Haram members this evening launched fresh attacks in Maiduguri, Borno state. According to reports, the sect members entered the town through an area known as "Cashew Plantain" which is behind Gina Barracks, housing the 7th Division of the Army. Residents say were taken unawares as the sect members stormed their community, shooting sporadically and causing everyone to run for safety. Nigerian troops are reportedly engaging the sect members in a serious gun battle. 

Remember the Burundian female police officer who was attacked by a crowd after she shot at them? Well, video has been released of the moment she opened fire at close range at rioters, after one of them confronted her colleague. Moments after she fired at the man confronting her colleague, other rioters attacked her, separated her from other police officers, punched and beat her and then dragged her along the streets. Jennifer Burbella claims her Misericordia University professor did not do enough to help her pass a class on adult health patterns. Burbella said the professor gave her a distraction-free environment and extra time for her final exam when she took the class the second time, but did not respond to telephoned questions as promised, giving her even more stress.

Chairman of the Police Service Commission, Mike Okiro, has revealed why the immediate past Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba was fired by President Jonathan on May 21st. Mr Okiro gave the reason while speaking with newsmen after the Council of State meeting where the new IGP Solomon Arase was confirmed as a substantive IGP yesterday May 12th “I’m not part of the Presidency that removed him, so I cannot give adequate answer. Though at the meeting President Jonathan tried to explain to members, based on the question raised by one of the governors that Nigerians may want to know why the former IGP was removed. The President, who was very brief in his response said, during the period of the former IGP, a lot of indiscipline was noticed among the Police rank and file and as such he felt that a new IG should come and try his luck. That is what he said, though I cannot give details of that" he said

According to reports, a close friend of the Kardashian's/Jenner's told   People.com  that her family believe the 25-year-old rapper and his entourage are the wrong crowd for her.They dont think Kylie is uncontrollable, they just don't like the crowd she mixes with - especially her mother Kris. She said the family thinks a lot of Tyga's friends are enablers and that makes her mom the most nervous. She doesn't want Kylie getting off track. "Her parents know she is going to date who she wants, but they are worried he will have a negative impact on her decision-making,' the friend said. 

 First Lady Mrs Patience Jonathan has denied allegations of plotting to prevent wife of the President-elect, Aisha Buhari from replacing her as President of the African First Ladies Peace Mission (AFLPM). Mrs Jonathan had in April sent out a letter of invitation to other first Ladies calling for the 8th AFLPM summit to be held in Abuja on  May 15th  where they will discuss on how to facilitate a smooth and formal hand over to the new Executive Committee that will pilot the affairs of the Peace Mission for the next two years, a move some people found to be against Mrs Buhari assuming her position after  May 29th  when her husband will have been sworn in.
