Fleeing members of Boko Haram sect drowned in Lake Chad after Nigerian troops overpowered them during a counter operations in the North east. Spokesperson of the Defence Headquarters, Gen Chris Olukolade said this in a statement released today. Find the statement below A large number of terrorists have drowned in the Lake Chad as they fled the heavy bombardment by Nigerian Air force heralding the advance of Nigerian troops on mission to flush them out of Baga. Not even the strategy of mining over 1500 spots with land mines on the routes leading to the town could save the terrorists from the aggressive move of advancing troops.  All the land mines were skillfully cleared one after the other. Eventually, the resistance of the terrorists collapsed and the land forces finally stormed the town in the early hours of Friday. Many of the terrorists died while an unknown but substantial number of them fled with various degrees of injury, in the series of encounter along the routes

On February 15th, ISIS released a video showing the beheading of 21 Christians in Libya. Among the 21, is a Ghanaian man. He has been identified as Matthew Ayariga. His identity was confirmed by his family and friends.

VH1 reality star Real (real name Ahmad Givens) from 'Real Chance of Love' and 'I Love New York' has passed away after a long battle with colon cancer. He was just 33 years old. Real was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in 2013 following his appearance on 'I Love New York' with his brother, Chance. Real kept his fans updated about his condition via his instagram page as he went through chemotherapy and other treatments. His condition worsened last month after he fell and was bedridden from then on. He passed away yesterday Friday Feb. 20 surrounded by family and friends. May his soul rest in peace...Amen.

The Kardashian sisters and North were involved in a car accident in Montana today. TMZ reports "Khloe Kardashian skidded on an ice-covered Montana road and dangerously crossed into oncoming traffic, eventually landing in a ditch with Kim, North and Kylie on board. We're told the girls were driving in Bozeman, MT Saturday morning when a semi-truck drove by their car and kicked up a ton of snow, hitting their windshield and apparently blinding Khloe. Khloe couldn't see and began swerving, right into a patch of black ice. The car then spun out of control, crossing oncoming traffic and ending up in a ditch. We're told cops came and everyone's ok.  Kim posted this pic (above) on Instagram afterward ... seemingly making reference to the accident.
