Photos: Ghanaian man among those beheaded by ISIS

On February 15th, ISIS released a video showing the beheading of 21 Christians in Libya. Among the 21, is a Ghanaian man. He has been identified as Matthew Ayariga. His identity was confirmed by his family and friends.

Ekiti remands two herdsmen for destroying N850,000 farmland

- Two herdsmen are presently in trouble in Ekiti state for possessing firearms and destroying farmland valued at N850,000 - The herdsmen’s actions violated the Prohibition of Cattle and Other Ruminants Grazing Law in Ekiti state - Their case was adjourned till Friday, January 27 while the accused have been remanded in prison Ekiti governor Ayo Fayose made the law under which the two herdsmen are being tried for destroying the farmland. For violating the Prohibition of Cattle and Other Ruminants Grazing Law in Ekiti state, two herdsmen are presently cooling their heels in detention in the state according to a report by The Nation. The two herdsmen identified as Momodu Rebo (19) and Isiaka Idris (22) were yesterday remanded in prison custody by an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrate’s Court for destroying a farmland at Apoto Farm Settlement in Eporo, Emure Local Government Area.
