A Florida man attempted to chew off his fingerprints while in a patrol car to avoid being identified by the police. On Thursday, Lee County Sheriff detectives noticed a 2015 Mercedes that had been reported stolen and after stopping the vehicle, they found the driver, Kenzo Roberts, was using a fake ID, had a concealed firearm and possessed three fraudulent credit cards. Surveillance video shows Roberts unsuccessfully trying to bite off his own fingerprints while in the backseat of the patrol car. He was seen on camera swallowing bits of skin as he looks around to make sure he wasn't being watched. Despite an extended effort, fingerprint scanners were able to quickly identify him. It was not made clear why Roberts was not handcuffed in the back of the police car.  He was later charged with possessing three counterfeit credit cards, grand theft auto, possessing a concealed gun, possessing a fake ID, giving false identification to law enforcement and driving ...

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC today interrogated the Director General of NAFDAC, Paul Orhii, over allegations of fraud. Mr Orhii is being investigated for allegedly awarding contracts to companies he has interest in. He arrived the commission's headquarters in Abuja this morning at about 10am and is currently being interrogated.

The meeting took place yesterday July 27. President Buhari had called for the meeting with the APC lawmakers to seek for ways to resolve the leadership crisis rocking the lower chamber but the meeting ended in a deadlock with both factions, the Yakubu Dogara faction and Femi Gbajabiamila faction, refusing to bulge and sticking to their different positions. President Buhari however told the members to respect the party's decision. The house has been in a lingering crisis after the Dogara faction rejected APC's decision to make Femi Gbajabiamila the House Majority leader.
